Story
We have been invited to take part in this trek by my employer Vendman Systems Ltd. The company has kindly sponsored us our deposit to do the trek, we have now pledged to raise a minimum of £1800.00 each to raise money for The Point Foundation.
Jebel Toubkal is the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and is the intended goal for our expedition, standing at 4167 metres high it is the equivalent of over 3.5 times the height of Snowdon. We will trek from the Berber village in Imlil to the Mouflon Mountain Hut and then on to Toubkal's summit over the duration of 4 days and 3 nights.
Years of mistreatment & malnutrition has further traumatised them - some even died through neglect.
During the last 2 years, donors of the Point Foundation funded better care for the Noel persons with disabilities at the orphanage, but when the government closed the orphanage there was no solution provided for the disabled. Forgotten & homeless, they were in danger of being abandoned yet again.
In order to protect the ex-Noel persons with disabilities and reinstate them back into their community with the care they deserve the Point Foundation funding is providing the solution, whilst we continue to advocate government ministries to take true responsibility of their marginalised citizens.
£100 will cover all medical costs for an entire house for a whole month. £30 will cover the costs for a full time carer for a whole week. Please give what you can as every penny really makes the difference to these orphans.
