I'm sure most of you are aware of the charity based in Largs - Gillians Saltire Appeal, but for those who arent i'll give a quick once over as to what it is. 

Gillians Saltire appeal is a charity which was set up in memory of Gillian Ward who sadly died of cancer in December 2005. The main goal of the charity is to provide a free holiday in the town of Largs for cancer sufferers who find it difficult to go abroad due to travel insurance complications and hospital treatments.

After the immense fundraising efforts and donations by the people of Largs and surrounding areas, we currently have a flat above the moorings in Largs which has a beautiful balcony with a sea view. The flat runs at 100% occupancy and it gives patients who may be on the brink of giving up a break from reality and a fresh start! 

So James Connell, Iain Galbraith, Todd-Baker-Flannagan, Lucy Irvine, Scott Ward and myself are all doing the Glasgow half marathon on the 2nd of October and any donation no matter how small to help us crawl over the finish line would be greatly appreciated!
