Rumour has it that most contestants don't make it to the finishing line without having swallowed copious amounts of mud, bugs and miscellaneous fluids... We wanted to see if this was true whilst raising money for a good cause!!!!

In all seriousness, we are raising money for the Eve Appeal with whom we have earmarked all our donations to support the BRCA Alliance. BRCA is an inherited gene mutation that increases a women's chance of getting breast cancer from the national average of 3% to 85%. It also dramatically increases the chances of ovarian and prostrate cancer and doesn't discriminate between men or women.

It is so important to raise awareness and money for research, screening and genetic testing so that those with this terrible gene can take the necessary steps to lower their risk. We can help so many people take life saving preventative measures.
