Fundraising for The Y
Story
Hi Guy,
Thank you for visiting my Just Giving Page.
On 11th June 2016 I will be running the Summer Wolf Run (a 10k muddy obstacle course!) in the Leicestershire Country Side alongside an amazing bunch of people! The run will be hard and challenging so any cash you can spare for this great cause would be very much appreciated.
The Y works with the most disadvantaged 16-25yr olds providing them with much needed and safe accommodation away from negative influences and supports them to rebuild their lives so that they can become independent young adults with positive futures.
As you will be aware the current changes to welfare support are leaving our young adults in a very vulnerable position and fundraising efforts like this are vital to ensure that The Y can continue to help stop more young people becoming homeless and support them in making the important and difficult transition from childhood to adulthood.
So please help me by sharing this information and raising the profile of this important local charity organisation and where possible pledging some money no matter how small or big. Every penny counts and makes a huge difference in changing the lives of homeless and vulnerable young people in Leicester and Leicestershire.

There are 118 homeless young people living at The Y
right now who need more than just a roof over their head. Many have
experienced traumatic childhoods, living in care, family breakdown or
domestic violence and are at a higher risk of ending up on the street.
Money raised will provide training to help a young person leave
homelessness behind for good.
