Story

Hi friends and family

As many of you know, the Rennie family lost the most important lady in the world, my beautiful mumble, Penny Rennie, to sporadic CJD nearly 3 years ago.

Sporadic CJD is an extremely rare and always fatal, brain disease that currently affects one person in every 1 million people per year worldwide and as such, there has been little medical progress in finding a cure.

As a family we were very fortunate to be able to have our mum at home with us for her last weeks of life.

On the 3rd of July, Graeme and I are running the St. Petersburg marathon and would like to take this opportunity to raise funds for the CJD Support Network to contribute to the minimal support network that there is, to promote awareness of this crippling disease and to offer something to the families of those diagnosed, may they too spend the last days and minutes with their loved one, and may their loved one pass comfortably and in peace.

Anything at all that you could contribute will be so gratefully received.

Love and Peace
J
