Story

After a fun-filled summer of over-indulging I have decided to do a triple whammy of giving up caffeine and alcohol, combined with completing a 7 minute circuits workout app every day throughout October. I know in the grand scheme of things it's not climbing Kilimanjaro or running a marathon, but anyone who knows me well will realise just how much of a challenge this month is going to be for me (and my husband!)!

I'd love to get as much sponsorship as I can for a small charity (Safeline) that offers invaluable support to victims of rape and abuse. Every penny really makes a difference, so if you can spare the price of a cup of coffee, glass of wine (or even a bottle!), it would really mean a lot.

Safeline works to prevent sexual abuse and rape and to support anyone affected, in Warwickshire and beyond. Established in 1994 in Stratford-upon-Avon by women survivors of sexual abuse, Safeline now works throughout Warwickshire and further afield, supporting women, men and young people affected by sexual abuse and rape whether it happened years ago, recently or is still ongoing. Our services include: - specialised one-to-one counselling (face-to-face, online, by text or on the phone) by experienced and trained volunteer counsellors, for survivors and their family members - other specialised therapies such as dramatherapy and art therapy if more appropriate (e.g. for children who have been abused) - practical and emotional support for survivors reporting the offence to the police - support groups - a national helpline - projects with young people who have been abused or are at risk, to keep them safe from abuse. Please support us if you can. If you need our support yourself, please get in touch. We're here for you and we believe in you.
