Following a stroke 10 years ago Dad was left brain damaged and unable to speak, read, write and had little ability to communicate with family, friends or anyone.  This left him and our family feeling incredibly frustrated and isolated.

Dyscover is a small charity with incredibly talented speech and language therapists and passionate volunteers who provide long term support for people suffering from aphasia.

Through Dyscover's continued support Dad has now developed and relearn't vocabulary enabling him to speak with 3-5 word sentences.  He now has the ability to express himself and communicate and his cheeky sense of humour has returned.  

We have a great deal to thank Dyscover for and our 10k run is just one of the ways in which we can support Dyscover with continuing to raise funds and awareness of this valuable charity.
