I found Penniwells at a tough time in my life and had to wait 4 months until I was well enough to be able to volunteer. After discussions and paperwork they very kindly let me volunteer and by the end of my second weeks session I felt completely at home. Now I never want to leave them!

Getting to know the horses and ponies has improved my confidence and helping look after them has helped me restart doing a job I love and enjoy and this is just an added bonus to the rewards I get from seeing children learn and progress each week.  Just seeing the smiles on their faces really does light up my afternoon when I've had a rough day.

Plus I'm still learning too -  improving my Makaton Skills!
