Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. After having my first Virgin London Marathon attempt this year thwarted by hernia surgery I hope to make my debut instead in 2017 — still running on behalf of Carers Worldwide. This is a thoroughly worthy charity based locally to me in Welwyn Garden City and dedicated to tackling the issues facing the vulnerable (and unpaid) carers of the sick and disabled in Nepal and India.

If my run helps raise the profile of carers in third world countries, where there is generally no formal support system, and at the same time score an item off my personal Bucket List, then it’s job done. Many thanks to those who already donated in 2016 — the page will remain open for anyone else who still wants to support me.

If you are in London on April 23rd, come and cheer me on, if you are not then raise a glass of your favourite tipple (as the sun will surely be well over the yardarm by the time I cross the finish line).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and
cutting costs for the charity.
