Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am 9 years old and was diagnosed with Epilepsy last year. Mine is a specific type that means my seizures occur in sleep or partial sleep.  Having seizures is really scary and it's a horrible thing to happen to you and it's been a difficult year for me and all my family.  My Mum said that one constant support is a charity called ESUK (Epilepsy Sucks UK) who are not only there to offer support and advice, but their main aim is to fund anti-suffocation pillows to all that need them. I was sent one of these from the charity (see the pic of me above with my pillow) and it helped me feel less worried when going to sleep and it makes my Mum and Dad worry a little less each night too.

Epilepsy Awareness Day is on March 26th this year and I am going to go PURPLE for the whole day (purple is the colour used by all epilepsy charities). In support of me and everyone with Epilepsy, I'd really appreciate it if you could make a small donation (just a few £’s) to ESUK so that they can continue to provide these anti-suffocation pillows to everyone that needs one. So far they’ve funded £82,000 worth of these pillows – but with my purple-ness and your generosity we can help them provide even more this year.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box (if you pay tax) as that means ESUK will get even more money but it won't cost you any more.

1,100 children and adults die from epilepsy related causes each year. 350 are found faced down in bed. 40% of all deaths are preventable, Epilepsy Sucks UK are determined to change those stats by funding anti-suffocation pillows as death where there is prevention is unjustifiable.
