Story
Dear friends,
As many of you know, we will be travelling in November to the Sinai Desert to build a dam in the high mountains on behalf of the Bedouin who reside there. The idea of the small dam is to 'check' the flow of flash flood waters and slow the water so it can seep down into the main aquifer.
The Bedouin beneficiaries are the direct descendants of the original gardeners for St. Catherine's Monastery and the presence of water will attract them back to their ancestral gardens.
In order to raise money for the materials for the dam, I will be collaborating with pianist Josephine Reece and mezzo-soprano Rebecca Chellappah to present a recital of chansons, arias, and duets. The concert will feature works by Handel, Debussy, Delibes, Offenbach, Bernstein, and more!
As this is a benefit recital, there is a suggested donation of £10 payable on the door or through this website. However, we welcome everyone and would love to see you there!
Many thanks for your support!
