Story

I know, I know. ANOTHER donation page. Someone else doing something else to raise money.... but please, bear with me and keep reading.

If you know me well, you'll know that I can be pretty lazy and I like a glass of wine... so this whole 'walking and giving up wine for a month' nonsense that I'm about to embark on really will be a challenge. It'll be tough to decide to go the gym or on a long walk instead of popping for a cheeky wine after work, or to replace the standard Saturday 'takeout and bottle of red' tradition with a salad and a water but I'm determined. People go through so many awful things in life, giving up booze and walking a bit further every day is the least I can do to support them and the causes and charities that help them.

We all know someone who has been through the horrible ordeal of cancer - and it's time to give back. Someone I know is watching someone close to her go through this ordeal, and we decided to help.

Over the course of a month, the average patient will travel upwards of 100 miles to and from their treatment venues, so we decided we'd walk it - to somewhat share their pain.

So from 12th May I'll be giving up all alcohol for a whole month.... as well as walking just shy of 4 miles every day to raise money and awareness for this fantastic cause.

So please, dig deep, donate what you can, whether it's £1 or £100 it will make a difference!

....and I'll see you all on Friday 10th June at the pub :)
