Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I decided to choose this The Arthrogryposis Group as my charity for a few events i am doing throughout the year to help raise it's profile and for Eden's (my son) grandfather who does allot of work for the charity.
You can find out more about the charity from it's website which is here:
http://www.tagonline.org.uk/whatisarthrogryposis.asp
The word Arthrogryposis literally means curved joint, implying that it is fixed or stuck in the curved position.
Arthrogryposis is relatively rare it is estimated to occur once in every 3,000 live births
The charity helps suffers of these condition with social events, adventure camps for kids, family weekends and much much more.
It would be amazing if I could get some donations for some of the events i will be doing throughout the year.
In September I will be attempting to row across the English Channel. I have only ever rowed in a gym and although a bit nervous about the challenge I'm excited about trying something new. I will form part of a 7 man crew and will be supported by a boat to help us navigate our way aroud the shipping channel boats.
I'm doing the London Triathlon a couple of days later, so any donations will really give me some added motivation.
In July 2012 I competed my first Ironman triathlon, which consists of a 2.4 mile open water swim, 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run to finish. I've also completed a half ironman triathlon and the Fleet half marathon
