Story
So, last November was my 65th birthday but instead of retiring
I've decided to take on a more unusual challenge!
On 18th September I will be travelling to Morocco to start a 12 day trek over the Atlas Mountains, ascending three peaks and covering 85 miles. Jebel Toubkal is North Africa's highest peak at 4167m, and we will also be ascending Jebel Ouanakrim (4088m) and Jebel Adrar n'Dern (4001m) - hopefully by the end I'll have a better chance of pronouncing them.
Why am I doing this? Partly a personal challenge but largely in aid of Megan Baker House, who support children with cerebral palsy, dyspraxia and other motor related disorders. £5000 can fund one child through a year's treatment which is why I've set that as my target,
I've done the Three peak challenge twice before but this will be my toughest challenge yet. However, I'm hoping that Morocco's spectacular scenery and raising money for a worthwhile cause will help me through.
Thanks in advance for all donations.
