Story
Myself, Harriet, Caroline, Frankie and Amelia will be attempting to conquer the Tough Mudder (A half marathon!) on 20th August 2016 for the North Devon Hospice and this is why...
The 26th October 2016 will mark 10 years since my Father, Jim Long-Howell, passed away after fighting a strong and brave battle with cancer. His love for life was infectious, his drive and courage were admirable and he was always the life and soul of any party. He was the best dad, my best friend, and is my hero.
He was cared for with such love at The North Devon Hospice.
He put the nurses to the test, and yet they were always so caring and understanding. They looked after us all as a family, with respect and care. It’s a place that holds you close and yet allows you space and dignity, they give you support and look after you with compassion and love.
The past 10 years have been challenging and I couldn’t have
done it without my best friends. They have been there for me, supporting me through times that seemed impossible. Through tears and laughter, we have grown together and I am honoured and proud to call them my best friends.
In order to celebrate my dad’s life, to raise vital funds for The North Devon Hospice and to thank and show my love for the girls I have dragged them into doing the Tough Mudder 2016.
Together we will finish the 20k course for the North Devon Hospice, for my Dad and for each other.
So please sponsor us, Jim's Devon Dumplings, as we get down
and dirty and complete the Tough Mudder #pupsinthemud
