Story
Hi everyone!
As some of you may know I've done my fair share of crazy events in the past, but I've not once asked for sponsorship. I am continually amazed and inspired by my friends' and acquaintances' fundraising efforts and the challenges they undertake which, in my opinion, are much more worthy of sponsorship than my own personal challenges.
This year however, I am upping my game.
I'm taking on my first ever marathon (length uphill obstacle course!), my first (sort-of) triathlon (105 across Scotland by foot, bike and kayak) and, having recently qualified for the Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) UK Championships, in November I will be racing against some of the best obstacle course racers in the UK!
Events:
Rat Race Man Vs Lakes - 26.2miles 3000ft of climb...with obstacles; Mens Health Survival of the Fittest - 10k OCR (x 2); Tough Guy Nettle Warrior 30k OCR; Tough Mudder Yorkshire twice in a weekend; Rat Race River Rat 10k OCR London; Rat Race Man Vs Mountain - 23miles over Snowdon... with obstacles; Rat Race Coast to Coast - 105miles; Superhuman Games Run 8k OCR; Red Bull Steeplechase <24mile fell race (knockout race); OCR UK Championships - 10 mile obstacle race
These events this year will challenge me quite literally to my limits. So I will be raising money for a charity providing help and support to people with various mental health conditions. A charity which has already, and will very likely to in the future, provide help and support to people close to me, colleagues, acquaintances and complete strangers alike.
I hope you think that some of this craziness is worthy of a couple of quid sponsorship. No matter how small, if my fundraising this year can help make a difference to even just one person's life, I'll be over the moon (If I can walk after all this!).
