Story
I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer first in 2009. I have battled numerous operations, chemo, radio and life threatening sepsis. After being cancer free for 2 years more cancer was found during a delayed DIEP reconstruction operation in 2012. The cancer had travelled into the lymph nodes in my left armpit and to both sides of my neck. After yet more chemo, radio and an all clear period of nearly 3 years in March 2016 I was told during a routine CT scan that more cancer had been found in the middle of my chest. I have been diagnosed with inoperable and incurable stage 4 TNBC cancer. I am currently on an NHS clinical trial which I felt was my only option.
However, my daughter found out about Team Verrico through a friend. I had no idea there was a Charity that does so much to support people affected by TNBC. I contacted Team Verrico for some advice and immediately they offered me so much support and made my situation so much more positive. They have already funded me to obtain a second opinion and in return for their generosity I would like to raise as much money as I can for Team Verrico and the wonderful work they do to help others.
I will keep you informed of my journey and of our fundraising progress with Team Verrico! :)
Team Verrico - my family and I cannot thank you enough xxx
