Story
From 15th April to 18th April next year I will be cycling from London to Paris in order to raise money for Education for the Children Foundation.
They work in partnership with disadvantaged families, children and young adults in Guatemala, Central America to ensure they develop the tools they need to break free from the cycle of poverty. The foundation has a school in Jocotenango, Guatemala: an urban area where extreme poverty, gang crime, domestic violence and alcoholism are everyday realities.
The School of Hope not only provides children and young people from impoverished backgrounds with quality education. It also gives them food, healthcare, counselling and career guidance: everything they need to become motivated, confident and able to find employment that will improve their quality of life and help them permanently break from the cycle of poverty.
EFTC is small charity that is making such a huge difference to the lives of these children. We take these things in life for granted - going to school, having a warm lovely house to go home to and simply eating lunch! It's time for a new challenge and I'd love to help them and raise as much money as possible.
Please dig deep and help me reach my goal for this amazing cause!
