On 1st May this year, I am heading to Hunedoara in Romania with a wonderful charity, Vision Romania. Every year they run a charity respite camp for young adults living with a disability. The villages surrounding Hunedoara are very isolated and deprived and this camp provides these families with a week of comfortable accommodation, healthy meals and fun in the company of others with similar life-circumstances.

As part of this, I am volunteering to go out and provide dental care for all the residents while they are at camp. Without opportunities like this, they would be unable to access a dentist and many have very poor oral health.

Unfortunately as this has all come about quite last minute, I cannot offer you a bungee jump, marathon or bath full of beans...well actually maybe there is still time for that!..but I can promise you that this is a very worthy cause and in order to take part I have to raise £550 to pay for my flights and accommodation in the camp. I understand you are all inundated on a daily basis with similar pleas for help and that our earnings are very precious to all of us but if you are able to spare any pennies I would be HUGELY grateful.
