YHA runs a bursary scheme called Breaks for Kids. 100% of any donation you make will go directly to funding a school residential trip for a young person who may otherwise be left behind.

The case for the benefits of school residentials is already well made. Greater self confidence, cohesion within the school group, better student/teacher relationships and higher educational attainment are the proven benefits of these trips.

Breaks for Kids is available to everyone that may need some financial support so that those children that will benefit the most don't get left behind.

£5 will pay for three square meals a day. Sometimes the only chance youngsters will have to eat as much nutritious food as they need.

£30 will cover all of the costs of a full day's residential including character building exercises and experiences

£100 will fund the entire trip for one young person and in doing so - create memories and experiences that will be cherished for ever.
