Story

BREAKING NEWS: The Capital Challenge was completed successfully at 4:38pm GMT, as the team rolled into London St Pancras Station. We started in Budapest, and visited Vienna, Bratislava, Prague, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and, finally, London. That's 8 capitals in 24 hours, a new Guinness World Record. Thanks for your support!

Original Post:

Together with my son and some friends, we're setting out to break the Guinness World Record for most international capitals visited in a 24-hour period. Along the way I'll be charting our progress on Twitter and Facebook, so follow along with us! @revjohndelia and #‎capitalchallenge

All donations will go to Opportunity International, a Christian organization that provides microfinancing to ambitious people in the developing world. More than 90% of their loans go to women, helping them to support their families and gain financial independence. Your gifts will be used more than once! Opportunity International loans have a payback rate of 98%. You read that right--98% of the money that goes out in loans comes right back to be lent out again.

You can help this great work! You can pledge a total amount, or choose to pledge an amount per capital that we are able to visit. Our journey begins in Rome on Friday the 20th of March.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
