Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

We're doing this ride, along the Avenue Verte (from the London Eye to Notre Dame cathedral, in Paris) to raise awareness of the need for action on Climate Change and, in December, the UN is going to hold talks (COP 21) in Paris about Climate Change, so we intend to finish our ride roundabout the time of those talks. We've done the first stage, from London to Newhaven, and, in November, we will return to Newhaven, get on the ferry, to Dieppe, and, then, cycle to Paris, where we'll join with others to "lobby" World leaders.

Please support this effort, to save our planet, and give young people a world to look forward to.

Best wishes

John.

P.S. We've been handing out leaflets, as we go, and publicising the "cause", particularly in parishes that lie on the route, the Green Way (the Avenue Verte).

P.P.S. The Justice & Peace Commission is encouraging young people to ride with us and, therefore, part of whatever you donate might be used to that end.

About the charity

We are an organization under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster (London, UK). We facilitate the formation of J&P groups, identify and raise awareness of injustice and its root causes, promote J&P spirituality, and liaise with the Cardinal and bishops on issues as they arise.
