Story

On the 1st September 2016 I will be starting from Uganda and begin running 1200km solo and self-supported to Kilifi, Kenya over the month. This is a bit of a challenge for me as I have never even run a marathon before and now I am planning to do 26 odd Marathons and Ultra Marathons in 31 days!! But by doing this I will be raising money for Bread and Water for Africa UK, which is a small charity based both in the UK and Africa.

The money I raise will be going to the Lewa Children's Home in Eldoret. This home has up to 120 children, ranging from infant to eighteen years old. All of the children are either orphaned, abandoned or destitute when they come to Lewa. Phyllis Keino who set up the home is dedicated to raising these children in a loving, caring environment with their education as the top priority.

An example of how far your money goes is:

£12 can feed five children at the Lewa Children’s Home in Kenya for an entire week.

More info is available at: http://lewachildrenshome.info/

100% of your donation will go straight to Lewa Children's Home

I will be visiting the Lewa Children's Home on Day 3 of my journey and will update my progress daily so I hope you can follow my story here on my fundraising page and/or via my Instagram page which can be found at:
