Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This is for Chris Coutts.
Chris (his mum and dad call him Christopher!) was one of my pupils at Inverkeithing High School. He died from Hodgkin's Lymphoma on 3 June 2013 at the age of just 19.
Chris's family set up The Cookie Jar Foundation to help other children and their families dealing with cancer. The Coutts are among the bravest and most inspirational people I'll ever meet. They are really nice too. And funny. Chris was just like them!
The Cookie Jar Foundation have organised two long distance cycles, in 2014 and 2015. This year they are running a relay based tour of the North Coast 500.

If you'd like to take part, please do so. You won't regret it, you'll have a brilliant time. I can't make it because I organise a run in Aberdour, the Donkey Brae run which takes place on Sunday 31 July, right in the middle of the Cookie Jar cycle.
So, I'll need to do the cycle another time. Why not cycle the whole damn thing? I'm doing it in early June. Planning on taking a week to do it. I don't go fast!
It looks amazing. It'll be tough, really tough and will be a real challenge. This is Scotland we're talking about. 500 miles plus of hills, wind and rain. And that's in the summer! But I fancy it. It'll give me a focus and a challenge. I enjoy cycling but I'm not asking you to sponsor me for something I'm enjoying or subsidising a holiday. None of the donations will go to costs, everything goes to the Cookiejar.
I'll be having some fundraising events so please have a look out for these on my Facebook page and on here. Thanks! John
