Story
For Frank
As our hurlers prepare for our upcoming county final, Christopher Brough, Donncha Kennedy, Mike Cremin, John Bergin, John Reddan, Stephen Ahern and Padraic Crehan, and Collette Duffy from the camogie team, are gearing up for this years Birmingham Half Marathon in memory of Frank Healy.
Former chairman, manager, selector, kit man, supporter - Frank filled every role within the club. But most of all, he was a friend to everyone. We've had great volunteers throughout our history, but from reforming the hurling club in the late 80's, the establishment of an underage team in the 90's, the 4 All Britain wins in the 00's, the entry of Warwickshire into National League and Lory Meagher, the establishment of camogie in 2008 - Frank was the constant. As a club and as players we will always be grateful for all that Frank and his wife Ann have done for us.
We would be grateful of any support as we raise money for Sifa Fireside, Birmingham in Frank's name. Sifa Fireside, based in Digbeth are a dynamic Birmingham based charity improving health and inclusion for homeless people with over 30 years of service.
