Story
Fund raising that's not fund raising.
The main expense of horse riding is the maintenance of the horses, unfortunately horses don’t live forever and they have to buy new horses putting a further challenge of funds.
Early this year Red one of our favourite horses had to been put down and has had
to be replaced. A replacement has been found called Teemo who will cost £3250.
I was hoping that we could raise the money to pay for Teemo through a combination of donation and company matching. If we raise more than
the money required any additional money will go to pay for specialised training
to ensure is capable of working with the riders.
So why is it not fundraising. Technically it is but rather than ask you to dig deep and donate I thought it may be an idea for you to re-distribute some expense to the RDA for 1 month.
So during September we would be delighted if you would think of one thing that you could give up and the cost of that activity/purchase donate to the RDA. It could be a bus journey, chocolate, coke, coffee, whatever…and what I couldn’t live without beer! So it could be a win win win, doing something to promote your own health whilst donating to a good cause and it doesn’t cost you a thing!
I am going to start the ball rolling by giving up my daily work Starbucks. That’s 22 days at £1.93 being £42.46.
Feel free to donate in advance or once the month is up – I’ve put mine in advance as I’ve decided that if I fail to achieve my goal I’ll donate the price of each coffee I buy at the end of the month! For those donating at the month end it would great to hear from you now to hear what you can do without!
