The Charlie Cookson Foundation (CCF) provides financial support to the parents of seriously ill children wirth life limiting conditions that require 24 hour nursing care or specialst nursing facilities. We understand how difficult life can become when you have to reduce your working hours or in fact leave your employment as your child requires 24 hour care.

We aim to raise awareness of the difficulties faced by parents and carers who care for seriously ill children and campaigns to improve the quality of life of sick and seriously ill children, working with professionals to play an active part in the design and development of services to ensure that the needs of parents, carers and children are heard and considered.

Parents can apply for support with mortgages, utility bills, food, petrol or any other costs which may be difficult to keep up with when caring for a seriously ill child. Financial support is provided over a three month period within our one payment budget.

'Mammys and Daddys need to be able to care for their poorly child without worrying about paying their bills. The Charlie Cookson Foundation will help to relieve some of that financial pressure so parents can focus on supporting the needs of their brave child'
