I am currently into a years marathon/ultra training programme to try and run around Anglesey 135miles in 3 days, it is called the Ring Of Fire. I was running for my own goals maybe 'midlife crisis' but after my recent 5 days aboard the 'Stavros  Niarchos Tallship' have decided to raise funds for the youth trust. All of the full-time, volunteer crew and  Captain Liam spoke of how they have seen with their own eyes how troubled youngsters have turned their lives around through the experience on board from team building to overcoming fears (climbing the mast on a dark windy night!). Many of the youngsters realise that maybe  after a lifetime of rejection they can actually achieve something and are not 'useless'. There are many charities out there all doing a fantastic job, this one I thought gives hope to those who most would of given up on!
