Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 3rd July I will cycle 111 miles around Leicestershire and Rutland to raise money for the Treble One Trust in memory of my late father, David Wall.
The Treble One Trust provides specialist equipment to sufferers of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) to help improve their quality of life in the latter stages of this devastatingly debilitating disease.
My father first showed signs of MND in the late spring of 2013 and the disease progressively robbed him of speech, the ability to walk and the ability to swallow. On 6th February 2014 the disease ultimately took his life. It was truly heartbreaking to see a once fit and active man struck down in this way, all the pleasures of his life cruelly removed in quick succession. His decline was so fast that he couldn't have benefited so much from the kind of help that the Treble One Trust offers, but in my father's memory I would like to help other sufferers of MND who have to endure its effects for longer.
