The Gillian Saltire Appeal doesn't promise to find a cure for cancer, but they offer cancer sufferers and carers a flat in Largs to stay in and spend some quality time. Great idea.

The Swim, if I make it to the other side,  will take me from Cumbrae to Largs, through the freezing cold and shark infested waters that tear through the infamous Nardini Straits.
