12 years ago my Nan went blind. She has never seen me. Tomorrow is her 93rd birthday and so I plan to wear patches on my eyes and spend the day at school raising awareness and money for my chosen charity. 

This is part of the Blundell's Adventure, Service and Leadership Awards that we are doing at school.

About the charity

The National Eye Research Centre funds research into diseases and disabilities of the eye and the prevention of blindness. The Centre is based in Bristol and supports research in universities across the country and every effort is made to raise awareness of the research undertaken.
