Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

We give emotional support to highly traumatised refugees and asylum seekers who have experienced horrific events in their countires of origin by providing counselling and psychotherapy. Each session costs us about £50 - for some we pay for the use of interpreters and we see about 45 people in a year. By definition asylum seekers live well below the poverty line and so do most refugees so cannot to pay for this help which blights their lives with PTSD.

This event is a fun way of helping us raise money. You can just donate or come to our dinner at The Lido in Brisol on 6th October where John Witt will shave off his magnificent beard! It will take place on Sunday October 19th between 6 and 8 p.m.

Tapas and wine will be provided – spaces are limited to 30 participants, at a cost of £ 37, of which at least £30 will go to the charity.  You can either come yourself  or make a donation - as spaces are limited we will have a strict “first come first served” policy.

You can see more about this (including John's luxurious beard) on our website: www.tfsw.co.uk. @traumafsw https://www.facebook.com/events/1447536142200096/
