Story

Yep that’s right! I’m doing a triathlon, the London triathlon … the one where you get to swim in the Thames ….

Let’s be honest, I’m better known for my love of red wine than I am for fitness…So to help get me through the early morning alarms, 7am swimming outdoors before work, the lunchtime runs round the park…

I decided I should make all this pain worthwhile and raise some money for an amazing charity. Scene & Heard is one of the most incredible charities, it works with inner-city children from Somers Town and volunteer theatre professionals to create the plays these children write, turning them into a performance before their very eyes.

Over the past few years I have been lucky enough to work with them, helped children write plays including a ghostly tear drop and a high-heeled shoe, I’ve directed a Christmas Primark jumper and a singing fox and most importantly witnessed the smiles of the children when they realise that the whole audience is enjoying their work.

It is brilliant, but like all small charities it needs money to continue its amazing work – so help inspire me to train harder by knowing that money is heading their way and sponsor me!
