Braintree and Bocking & Public gardens are a charity for the benefit of all the people of the district. They need help from people who live in the district. The Trustees who look after the Gardens have a mighty wish list of things they would like to do to improve the service they can give to the Community.

They are making a three pronged approach to the people of Braintree, to the Trustees themselves, to Industry and Commerce in the Town and to the General Public whose gardens these are and who really want to see them prosper.

1. Just to keep the Gardens in the condition they now are in costs a significant amount.

2. The Wildlife area needs improving to make it a home for all kinds of animals, bird, insects and plants and a resource for study. We want to build an observation hide where everyone can see what is going on.

3. The Tennis Courts need Re-surfacing and the netting replacing. Provide Flood lighting to extend the playing time.

4. Develop the web site to give visitors more information and to link to a guide that visitors can access from mobile phones and find out more about the many rare trees in the Gardens.

Please help us to provide these and other important improvements. A donation however small will be very gratefully received.
