Story
Dear friends and colleagues, the ones of you that know me well, are aware that I would normally pay other people to do the hard work, while I appear to be a great philanthropist... However, as you can probably guess (funding page the subtle giveaway here!), I've been persuaded - read conned instead..- to put my money where my mouth is and try my luck at raising funds for an amazing charity: Reclaim. So I will be putting my best foot forward and attempting the Great Manchester 10K Run on 22nd May 2016.
So all joking aside, I am hoping that you will sponsor me in support of the work done by my great friend Ruth Ibegbuna, who launched Reclaim in 2007, and has since worked tirelessly and selflessly for nearly a decade, with her team on the project. Reclaim is a youth leadership and social change charity, based in Manchester, working with 12-15 year olds, providing a support network, opportunities and help to show young people - who have faced too many challenges earlier on in their lives - that sky is the limit in reaching their potential.
In the immortal words of Witney Houston: "I believe that children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way..." (sorry couldn't help it!!!) this is exactly what Reclaim does. Please be as generous as you can and I promise that I will finish the 10K even if I end up crawling over the line!!! You are the best!
