Story
Hello! Hello!
Now, those of you who know me well know that needles and I do not get along... Some of you may remember, back at the Girls' High, the 3 hours it took to have my TB jab. You may also be aware that I fainted after having my ears pierced. Yes, I'm ridiculous.
I have always wanted to be a donor, and there's no time like the present, so, today (Thursday 18th September), I signed up thinking I'd have a few weeks to prepare myself for this ordeal. However, there was an appointment available on Monday 29th September, in Albrighton, at 19:10 which I snapped up leaving me with only a matter of days to get ready!
I thought that being sponsored to do something so worthwhile (and terrifying, for me) will support two causes at once. I have set my target at £50 because I appreciate that so many people are doing so many good things for charities all across the world and no-one has bottomless pockets to keep giving to all these incredible causes.
My chosen charity - the National Portage Association (NPA) - does not receive a great deal of press but, for the people who rely on the Portage Home Visiting Service, it is essential. Portage is a home-visiting educational service for pre-school children with additional support needs and their families. Some children are extremely profound, others have terminal conditions, but all need the help of this service. If you'd like to know more about it, please visit:

Many thanks for visiting my page and reading my "story". If 100 people donate 50p then I'll have reached my target and we'll have killed two birds with one stone.
