Story

Around 1500 new cancer patients are treated at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn every year. Many of these patients have chemotherapy treatment which is carried out in our specialist unit.

Our Chemotherapy Room currently has eight special ‘chemo’ chairs, from where we treat 25 patients every day. Cancer treatment services in King’s Lynn are recognised nationally as giving patients a ‘Gold Standard’ level for treatment.

We are currently appealing for funds to allow us to purchase two additional chemo chairs.  We would also like to upgrade two of our existing chairs. These are the specialist treatment stations from where chemotherapy is administered. Each chair costs £750, which means we need to raise £3,000. Having two additional chairs will allow us to treat a further six patients every day.

Please help us to help others. Cancer recovery success rates are improving all the time. Your donations will be gratefully received and used exclusively for the benefit of patients with cancer.  Thanks to your support we will be able to treat more patients and ensure that they are as comfortable as possible while receiving treatment.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
