Tayen has a genetic condition called NF1, it causes tumours to grow along nerves anywhere in the body. She has tumours all along both optic nerves that have spread through her brain to the back on both sides. She is registered blind and is epileptic.
Previous to her vision loss Tots loved books and we though her love for them was lost with her vision but Living Paintings have her back her love and more. They create specially designed popular books that a child with any level of visual impairment can access.
It's a FREE library service and their work is outstanding.
