Story
Rheumatoid Arthritis isn't an 'old persons' disease as Karen's husband found out in 2009 when diagnosed with it at the age of 38. He has steadily, sometimes rapidly, gotten worse and in the last few years has had to have two full hip replacements and a knee replacement. This had impacted quite considerably on his life up to that point but fortunately things seem to be on the up! He's now more mobile and getting some of his independence back, which is equally important to a man of 45.
So while we are still fit ourselves - sort of - we thought we would take on a challenge of our own to help raise awareness of the charity and raise funds for the good work they do to support RA sufferers, as we have discovered this affects all ages and more people than we even realised.
So today we have signed up to 4 x 10ks and are looking to sign up to another 6 before the end of the year. If you could help support our 'blood, sweat and tears' that would be greatly appreciated by us and NRAS.
Thanks,
Karen & Nicola x
