Story
As part of the Warwick in Africa Masterclasses programme, I will be traveling to Ghana during my summer holidays to work with teachers in the underprivileged areas of Accra and Agona. The 'masterclasses' I run will aim to improve local teachers' skills and develop teaching techniques and subject knowledge. This is designed to benefit both pupils and teachers to improve standards in education.
It costs only £25 to train one teacher for a week. This one teacher could influence the learning of up to 200 pupils in just one year. Up to 100 teachers will attend my 'masterclasses' during the two weeks of my stay.
These sessions cannot be paid for by the Ghanaian government or by the teachers themselves. Instead it is paid for by generous donations from people like you!
If you are able then please donate whatever you can to this worthy cause. ALL funds raised will go towards paying for the programme.
