Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The girls in Rubens House would like to raise as much as possible for our House charity, "The Garden Route Children's Trust" as part of the Giveback scheme. We have been supporting this charity for the past year. Previously, we've baked cakes and run a stall at Dove Day. On Sunday 2nd November all the girls will be participating in running, rowing and cycling from Wycombe Abbey to Paris - using the school gym equipment - running to Dover (treadmills), rowing from Dover to Calais (rowing machines) and then cycling (exercise bikes) to the Eiffel Tower. The total distance is 529km.
We would love to raise money to help children who are not as privileged as we are.
The Garden Route Children’s Trust, or GRCT for short, is a UK-based charity. The aim of the GRCT is to alleviate poverty amongst children in South Africa through the provision of food and education. Nourishing the bodies and minds of children in need gives them a good, healthy foundation on which to build, and helps them to learn to look after themselves and their families.
Please help us to raise funds for this very worthy charity by supporting our "Run, Row and Cycle to Paris" event.
