Story
on the 9 th October I will be doing the Yorkshire Marathon.. Those that know me and knew Jaimie will understand why I want to do something out of my depth to help others
Jaimie suffered from nephrotic syndrome from the age of 11, many people didn't even know she was ill. Jaimie just got with it and worked hard, horses where her life. Of course horses brought us together, we made a good team!! We laughed until we cried some days and could even finish each others sentences!!! I still go to ring or text her, when something happens.
Jaimie become seriously ill in July 2015 and sadly passed away in October, a very dark day for me. I vowed that day to do something in her memory, my choice a Marathon... When I began running in 2015 after having a mint idea that I wanted to do the Great North Run. most folk said I was mad, even J but she was always encouraging and asking how my morning run had gone and was the first on the text to wish me good luck and say well done when I did a race. Even from her hospital bed she was there for me.
The 9 th October is going to be a tricky day mentally and physically but I have just 26 miles to suffer, J had a lifetime, I know she will watching out for me and I intend to make her proud.
Jaimies family asked that monies raised in my Quest go to the ICU at Castle Hill hospital and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance please help me help them.
