Story

On the 12th of April 2014, my wee brother Garry was involved in a serious motor racing accident at Silverstone. His injuries were so severe that he had to be airlifted to a specialist hospital. Garry spent the next six days in a coma fighting for his life. He fought as hard as he could but sadly on the 18th of April he passed away with me, my older brother Allan and my mum and dad by his side. I consider myself fortunate to have been with Garry in his last days - if he hadn't had such a quick response from the medical team at Silverstone and the air ambulance to get him to hospital in minutes, it might have been different and so I am forever grateful.
All air ambulance operate as individual charities and so I want to raise money for a mission (it costs £1,700 per call out)  to help save a life or at very least, let a family member spend time with their loved one like I did.
My run is the 17th of May.
