Story
It is impossible to describe how much Charlotte was loved by all that knew her. Whilst the past 15 months have been a battle against a devastating disease, she will always be remembered for the fun, caring and loving person that she was.
Charlotte always loved flowers, nature and wildlife and with this in mind, the family has decided on a natural burial in an area of outstanding natural beauty near West Clandon in Surrey. She will be buried in a meadow, close to a lake and woodland that will provide a beautiful and peaceful place for family and friends to visit for years to come and remember our wonderful Charlotte.
The burial will take place on Thursday the 20th of December and it will be a private internment for the close family. In June, when the meadow is in full bloom, we will be holding a memorial service. We will invite all those whose lives Charlotte touched to come together and share memories of the wonderful person that we all knew and loved. This will take place on Saturday the 29th of June at Clandon Wood. We will send more details nearer the time.
Finally, rather than sending flowers, if you would like to make a charitable donation, we would ask you to consider The Fountain Centre at St Luke’s Cancer Unit at the Royal Surrey Hospital. When a patient is diagnosed with cancer they often find themselves in a state of shock with their lives spiraling out of control, not knowing where to turn. The Fountain Centre is there for patients and their families from the initial cancer diagnosis until treatment finishes and beyond. They provide information, counselling and complementary therapies and were very supportive to Charlotte and the family throughout the course of Charlotte’s treatment.
Thank you for your generosity.
