When Christine died suddenly it was a huge shock to all concerned. Although she had battled with kidney disease for much of her life, and having gone through several operations this year alone, she still got through that and was in good health at the time. This was why her sudden death came as such a shock to her friends and relatives. 

At the time of her death, Christine was putting items aside to donate to us and so her husband David decided that donations in lieu of flowers should be made to Consett Cats. A very lovely gesture indeed.
