Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
A member of the Ann Conroy Trust has decided to run a virtual event for all its members. Most people suffering are either not long out of surgery or struggle on a daily basis. The virtual event is spread over a month from the 1st September to the end of September. Each member can either run the full half marathon in one go or space the milage out over the month. I am attempting to complete the 13.1 miles in one go!
This particular event ties in nicely with Chiari and SM awareness month (September) and my year 'brainiversary' - which falls on 1st September.
As most of you know I live with a life-long condition called Chiari Malformation and SM1. I had brain / spine surgery to improve the quality of my life and prevent symptoms worsening. Surgery is not a cure. However, almost a year on and life is good for me. It might not stay that way, but I always try to remain positive. Unfortunately some sufferers aren't as fortunate as me, and this is why funds are needed for the Ann Conroy Trust to continue their hard work and research into finding a cure for this rare condition which can turn people's lives upside down.
I've written a few blog posts if you'd like to read my story: https://chiarikel.wordpress.com/
I'm very grateful for your donations.
