Story

Staff from the Kidney unit in Canterbury take part in an annual cycle to raise money for the Kent KPA. Over two days the route covers 111 miles and passes through the centre unit at Canterbury and the five satellite Kidney Care Centres.

The 'Grand Depart' is  from the Medway Maritime Hospital . From here  we head south to Maidstone Hospital, following local cycle routes. After a short break the route turns eastward along the North Downs Pilgrims Way to the William Harvey Hospital before heading north to finish day one outside the haemodialysis unit at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital (58 miles and 4,100 feet of climbing). Day two takes us up to the coast at Reculver to link up with the Viking Coastal trail as far as the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital. The route and then heads south through Sandwich and Deal to finish at Dover (53 miles and 2,030 feet of climbing).

The date for 2015 will be announced in the Spring 2015. To-date £9000 have be raised for local Kidney charities
