Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am part of a team of 16 girls from Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar School who have been lucky enough to be selected to visit Nkwanta, a remote and deprived part of Ghana to work with the Ghana Education Project. This charity works to improve educational opportunities in the area, and in particular for girls.

The charity have built and opened a secondary school for girls that will at full capacity educate 500 girls to age 17 in an area where most girls leave school well before the age of 14.

Me and the others have been waitressing, gardening, baking, bag packing, sewing, giving talks, running quiz and music events and many other activities to raise our target of £50,000 for the charity. None of this money is spent on our own trip costs, it ALL goes to the charity. The charity has virtually no admin expenses, so all of your donation will be used to further the amazing work done by GEP.

This 33 mile, one day walk is our last major fundraising event before my trip to Nkwanta in October, and I would be very grateful for any donation you may make.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
