Happy Paws Puppy Rescue has been set up with the sole purpose of giving dogs who have been abandoned, neglected and abused a second chance ... The chance of a kind, loving, family home where they will be
treated as a family member, spoiled and loved.

Happy Paws is a small rescue based in Eastbourne East Sussex, who pride themselves on finding the very best homes for their pups and making sure they get their 'Happy Ever After'

My husband and I have a wonderful rescue labrador - Tess. Although we did not adopt Tess through Happy Paws, we feel very strongly that with so many dogs in need, adopting a rescue dog is a must.  Some think that resuce dogs come with lots of issues - I have had two rescue dogs and they have made the most loyal and loving companions I could ever have wished for.  Due to Tess' circumstances, she suffered with separation anxiety at the beginning. But with lots of encouragement, praise, patience and stuffed kongs, she soon overcame this.

Anyone that knows me, will know that I love to walk, however long distance running is not something I have ever done willingly. I have always felt that you need a different kind of stamina for running that I just don't have!

I have decided to set myself a personal challenge by completing a 10k run (6.2 miles). Being completely new to running, I started training just over a month ago and yesterday I completed my first 5k run - without stopping or walking. I still have a long way to go as I will be running double that distance on 20th November!

Please dig deep for this wonderful charity. All dogs deserve to be cared for and to have a loving family - Happy Paws give dogs the second chance that they absolutely deserve...
