Story
Hello Everyone,
My name is Kevin Frost and I am 51 years of age.
This is my second fundraising event on behalf of the Harrow MS Therapy Centre and I will be canoeing from Wallingford to Windsor on Saturday the 4th of October.
The challenge is approximately 50 miles and likely to take around 8 hours 30 minutes, possibly even 9 hours, to complete!
My friend's wife has Multiple Sclerosis and this is the reason I am doing the challenge, on behalf of the MS Centre in Harrow. She regularly visits the centre and relies on them for support and even oxygen on occasions. She is also able to network with other individuals who have MS at the centre.
The Harrow MS Therapy Centre is a self funding charity, which means they do not receive any donations from the government or any sort of grants from organisations such as Camelot Lotteries.
The centre relies heavily on the general public for donations and to individuals such as myself to arrange fundraising events. Without these valuable donations, the centre would be unable to operate and would have to close.
Also, the centre is in desperate need of a replacement roof due to a leak which was sustained earlier this year. Your donations would be put towards replacing the roof and also maintaining the centre moving forwards.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please dig deep, as any donations, no matter how large or small, are all very much appreciated!
